I’m always thinking about life and what it truly means to live. It’s the most precious commodity any of us posses. Life is the beginning and the ending of everything. I continuously ask myself, what’s the best way to treasure this life and all that it encompasses? It’s a question that requires a life-long pursuit.
Random yet not so random musings.

Persist
What we do will eventually lead to the results.
We often fail to see the results
not because we are doing something wrong
but because the results come from persistence only.

We The People
The rich claim that they are taking care of the lower class,
by allowing the lower class to rent and lease their land.
But if there is no lower class to rent and lease the land,
what worth would that land have?

When I Die
When I die let it be a noble death.
Not one of comfort for the passing of many years,
filled with meaningless pleasantries.
But let me die with protest in my heart
and a spirit embedded in unrest,

We’re Connected
How can a family achieve peace when one’s community is in chaos?
What is there to gain in working tirelessly for your family
then to ignore the plights of your community?
Why exert effort towards building your community
when the state is in great peril?

Stagnant
For the past few months there's been an on-going theme in conversations with my friends, and that's being STAGNANT in multiple areas of their lives. I think everyone goes through the phase where nothing seems to get moving no matter what level of energy and dedication you put into it. There is also the case where you are doing a plethora of things, yet not getting to the specific goal. I myself have experienced this frustration on numerous occasions.

The Power of Expectation
There is nothing more liberating than the power of expectation. When we find ourselves in a distressing situation, the mere belief that it will change instantly alters our reality. Although nothing has shifted in the physical realm, our hope reconfigures our way of thinking. Once our minds have gone through a transformation and reached beyond what is real in the natural then we begin to experience a new reality... our truest reality.

Power
What we must understand is that Power is a public instrument which means that it doesn’t belong to one person, family or group of people. When one has Power then it should be used for the betterment and goodwill of the masses.

Quitting
Sometimes when we’ve worked so hard at something for a long time and things seem to remain still we question whether we should continue that thing or QUIT. For most of us it’s those small victories in the journey that propels us forward with determination and avails us to that ray of hope. Yet if those victories become fewer and fewer we pull the QUIT notion from the subconscious of our mind and toil with it daily. For some of us it’s those encouraging words from another saying, “don’t QUIT” because you have a wonderful idea and they see great promise.

Words
When someone reads the words I have written,
I want them to be touched like never before.
I desire for the words to transcend the page
and touch the very core of something they are inside.
To see something of themselves reflected
not in the surface of things but in the depths
where we truly live uninhibited,

The Train Has Left The Station
As we continue on our life journey we will make many stops along the way. During this great adventure we'll experience numerous encounters that affect our lives in one way or another. Yet, each of these experiences will serve their function and equip us with indispensable tools that are essential to our expedition. There will be some individuals whose mission is complete simply upon arrival, others will sojourn with us a little while and very few will go the distance.

The Right Path
There are many paths in this world.
Whether you're sweeping the streets clean
or performing surgery in an operating room,
in whatever path you choose strive to maintain a pure
heart and mind.

Becoming
I am not certain where this life’s journey shall lead me.
I have traveled far, but yet to become much of nothing.
Fear enshrouds every contour of my dream,
for what I expected is not what it has seemed.

Gratitude
Grateful for those who entered into my life and journeyed on, those who I've met and travel along with still, and those that are yet to be known.

Limitations
I’ve had a few really interesting conversations and that centered around the LIMITATIONS we place on others and ourselves. Sometimes these LIMITATIONS are not necessarily set out of one’s ill-will towards the other or even consciously. Most of us are unaware of how we place others and ourselves in a box. We are continuously conscious about how things are done and it is very difficult to embrace a different way of doing things and going beyond the standard practice.

The Failure In Success
How can one define success and how does that definition dictate how we feel about ourselves and those around us? We are a society driven by praise, adoration and awards that somehow seem to validate our importance and determine our self-worth. Wealth, worldly achievements and millions of followers have become the standard in which we measure ourselves by.

Experience
EXPERIENCE is very critical to our growth and it is important that we venture out into the world and learn the many lessons of life. However, I realize that our EXPERIENCE can either work to our advantage or disadvantage. It is up to us how we utilize the many tools of our EXPERIENCES and whether they will be pearls or stones. It does not matter what the EXPERIENCE is; what matters is how you process that EXPERIENCE and in turn utilize that EXPERIENCE in the future.

Philosophizing
A life perfected
necessitates imperfection.
For perfection idealized by man
only exists in a vacuum of moments,
each of them isolated by our flaws.

Determined
It's during our most difficult challenges that we have to remain determined.

The Cause at Home
Although it seems like there is so little compassion in the world, many of us are very committed to helping those who are in need. Even when we ourselves are striving to make our way, we willingly press pause and pour out ourselves. When we see that there is a demand, we do what is within our means to commit of our time and resources. We contribute financially to organizations whose mission is to feed the hungry, clothe the needy and house the homeless.
